I've been slightly obsessed with drawings older people and capturing their facial expressions. This drawing style has become attractive to me as well because their bodies have an eerie presence. The way that their shoulders lean one way or the other can be as expressive as a hand gesture. Removing their limbs also helps you concentrate on their faces.
These drawings make me deeply and satisfyingly melancholy.
